Ombudsman appeals to international organizations on Armenia's treatment of military prisoners

"We have conducted fact-finding missions in our cities and regions, which have become the target of Armenian war crimes and conveyed the facts to the world community. Activities concerning the injured civilians are underway."

Azerbaijani Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) Sabina Aliyeva said speaking at an online conference on "Protection and promotion of human rights during COVID-19 and martial law" dedicated to December 10 - International Human Rights Day.

Aliyeva noted that numerous statements and appeals, and fact-finding mission reports were addressed to the international community.

Ombudsman appealed to international organizations regarding violation of the international humanitarian law by Armenia - the use of prohibited weapons, targeting civilians, a violation of the rules of treatment of prisoners of war, using mercenaries and terrorist groups, committing the environmental terror, the destruction of religious and cultural monuments.
