Minister of Culture: UN High Representative witnessed Armenian vandalism in liberated lands

The visit of the High Representative for the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations Miguel Ángel Moratinos to the liberated territories is a remarkable event and a historic visit of the UN high-ranked representative after our victory, said the Minister of Culture Anar Karimov, who is on a visit to the Fuzuli district, Report informs.

According to the minister, Miguel Ángel Moratinos has already visited several places in Fuzuli and witnessed the Armenian vandalism: "The UN High Representative saw the state of our lands and heritage. Temples and mosques were destroyed. One of the main goals of the UN Alliance of Civilizations is to protect these monuments and ensure that people return to these places where they can pray."

Speaking about the plans of the ministry on Fuzuli, the minister said that Master Plans of Fuzuli and Jabrayil districts are already being developed upon the President's instruction.

"We will hold discussions with the heads of relevant structures on how to restore the Fuzuli district. The President instructed to build museums of occupation and victory in each of the destroyed districts. Recently, President participated in the groundbreaking ceremony for the museum in Agdam. Such museums are planned to be built in Fuzuli district," he added.
