French capital mayor Anne Hidalgo since 2020, instead of solving the problems of Paris, was carried away by foreign policy. Moreover, the South Caucasus became the object of its activity for some reason, Report informs via Lithuania's Alfa.
The publication notes that since August 2023, she has allocated funds to support the Armenian puppet formation in Azerbaijan's Karabakh, often visited Yerevan, and also regularly met with the Armenia-backed separatist "leadership".
Hidalgo also sends letters to the French Foreign Minister calling for the recognition of the separatist formation, claiming legitimacy after occupying and illegally holding the territories of sovereign Azerbaijan under its control.
"Even Armenia itself that supports the separatists in Karabakh does not take such radical steps," the publication emphasizes.
While Anne Hidalgo is worried about the separatists in Karabakh thousands of kilometers away from Paris, the French media and civil society criticize her activities in the French capital.
According to the French media, Hidalgo's activity is objectively very bad with the poor financial state of Paris, the worsening quality of life in the capital, and uncleaned streets.
The local magazine, Valeurs Actuels, said that "Hidalgo is the mayor that will destroy Paris."
Similar articles slamming the mayor, who is by no means engaged in her duties and concern for Paris and Parisians, were also published in Romania's Stiripesurse and Latvia's La.lv.
