Matthew Bryza: Energy, light and life returning to Karabakh

Matthew Bryza, member of the Board of Directors of the Jamestown Foundation and Overgas, former US Ambassador to Azerbaijan, former US deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, delivered a presentation “Energy. Light. Life” at the Baku Congress Center on June 3, Report informs.

During his speech, Matthew Bryza emphasized the high level of organization and holding of the 27th Baku Energy Forum, as well as the issues under discussion.

Bryza emphasized in his speech that new technologies allow energy to be produced and consumed in ways that allow life to flourish, not only as the life of humanity, but also the life of the planet.

These new technologies range from innovations in more traditional fields such as mechanical engineering to cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning.

He also stressed that energy, light and therefore life are returning to Karabakh as the Azerbaijani government cooperates with global companies such as BP to develop clean energy supplies in the liberated Azerbaijani lands, with the aim of creating green economic zones in the region.
