Lebanon thanks Azerbaijan

Najarian, born in the town of Bourj Hammoud, is a dual citizen of Lebanon and Armenia. According to the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs, she was detained by Azerbaijan’s law-enforcement agencies together with a Lebanese citizen of Armenian descent, with whom she lived. She testified about illegally entering Azerbaijan’s territories and committing unlawful acts. As a result of humanism demonstrated by the Azerbaijani side, Najarian was released on March 10.

She preferred to return to Lebanon, not to Armenia. As a result of discussions held with Russia, it was impossible to send her through Russia because of her Lebanese citizenship. Therefore, she was sent to Lebanon through Turkey.
