“We hope that today’s meetings in Moscow will be held in a constructive atmosphere,” Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at a meeting with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan in Moscow, Report informs.
“The last time we met was quite a long time ago. A lot of new topics emerged, and I hope that today’s meeting will be held in a constructive atmosphere, and that your direct dialogue will help achieve additional results,” Lavrov said.
“In a trilateral format, before you start a bilateral event, I would suggest looking at the discussions of the entire range of issues of normalizing Azerbaijani-Armenian relations. And, as I said, agreeing on further steps, taking into account the opportunities that the Russian Federation has, which we can use to facilitate this,” the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
He noted that the tripartite statements contain a roadmap to reach a sustainable solution.
