Latvian MP: Armenia must withdraw its armed units from Azerbaijani territory

Armenia must definitely withdraw its armed units from the territory of Azerbaijan, a member of the Latvian Parliament, former Minister of Environmental Protection and Regional Development of Latvia Roman Naudins told Report.

According to him, as noted by many international organizations, the parties must comply with the ceasefire agreements reached. Still, first of all, other obligations undertaken by Armenia must be fulfilled, in particular, the withdrawal of all armed formations from the territory of Azerbaijan.

“Stability and peace in this region can be ensured within the framework of the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan,” the parliament member said.

He noted that Azerbaijan protects the security of its territory and population.

On September 12, the Armenian Armed Forces carried out a large-scale provocation in the Dashkasan, Kalbajar and Lachin directions of the Azerbaijani-Armenian state border.
