Employees working at industrial enterprises in Lachin earn an average monthly salary of approximately 1,000 manats (nearly $590), Huseyn Guliyev, an employee of the special representative office of the President of Azerbaijan in Lachin district, said.
Report quotes him as saying an industrial park has been established in Lachin covering an area of 53 hectares. Just yesterday, the President of Azerbaijan attended the opening ceremony of two enterprises located there, where employee salaries start at a minimum of 800–1,000 manats (approximately $470–$588).
"The government provides the necessary support to entrepreneurs," Guliyev emphasized.
He also mentioned that a hotel is currently under construction in one of the most picturesque parts of Lachin. "The rapid transformation of Lachin, resettlement efforts, and the revival of economic activity in the city are all very important developments," he added.
