Khojaly genocide - a crime against humanity that remains unpunished

The Khojaly genocide is a crime against humanity which was committed by Armenia and remains unpunished, Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram, Executive Director, Pakistan Research Center for a Community with Shared Future (PRCCSF), Islamabad, told Report.

He noted that the Khojaly genocide of 1992 remains one of the bloodiest pages in history due to its cruelty and methods of execution, but the perpetrators have not been held accountable before the international court.

"Until today, the international community has done nothing to punish those who committed this horror," he said, recalling that the same ex-President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan spoke with pride about the massacre committed by Armenians in Khojaly.

The Pakistani analyst stressed that Armenia did not stop at the Khojaly genocide, and today they do not hide their intentions.

"They continue their anti-Azerbaijani activities even today. During the Second Karabakh War in 2020, Armenia subjected to rocket attacks the civilian facilities in Ganja, killing 27 people and injuring 125," he said.
