Kestutis Jankauskas expresses condolences to victims' families in Ganja

"First of all, I would like to express my condolences to those who lost their loved ones. We call on everyone to adhere to this humanitarian ceasefire, and we hope that such deaths, injuries, and destruction will be prevented as a result. It is a chance to continue the talks and resolve the conflict peacefully. "

According to Report, Kestutis Jankauskas, the European Union (EU) representative in Azerbaijan, said this during a meeting with journalists in Ganja, where he arrived to get acquainted with the results of the Armenian army's missile strike on Ganja.

The diplomat noted that the world community condemned the non-observance of the ceasefire following the events: "Such things should not be necessary. It was agreed to sit at the negotiating table and seek a solution to the conflict based on agreed principles, without preconditions."

On the night of October 11, after a humanitarian ceasefire agreement, a rocket fired by the Armenian army on Ganja, far from the front line, killed nine civilians and injured 35 people, including children.

Representatives of the foreign diplomatic corps arrived in Ganja today to get acquainted with the facts about Armenia's missile attacks on peaceful cities and settlements of Azerbaijan.
