Renowned international travelers from 30 countries have arrived in Khankandi city as part of their trip to Azerbaijan's Karabakh region, Report informs.
According to information released by the public relations department of the Restoration, Construction and Management Service in Khankandi city, Aghdara and Khojaly districts, the international travelers arrived in Khankandi after visiting Fuzuli and Shusha cities.
After getting acquainted with Karabakh University, the guests took a close interest in the major construction works being carried out in Khankandi city. The international travelers were informed that currently the Khankandi Congress Center and Victory Park are under construction. Major renovation and reconstruction works are being carried out at the Culture and Business Center, the administrative building of the President's Special Representative for Khankandi, Aghdara and Khojaly, the Victory museum, and the city stadium. During the excursion, travelers were also given detailed information about the history and tourism potential of Khankandi.
The delegation will be in Karabakh and Eastern Zangazur for 3 days, observing the restoration and construction works, demining activities, as well as the atrocities and destruction caused during the occupation by Armenia.
Over the past five years since the Patriotic War, delegations from the world's major international traveler networks have made 12 trips to Karabakh and Eastern Zangazur with large contingents.
This trip is a continuation of the process and is the 13th group visit of international travelers to the liberated territories of Azerbaijan. Travelers from the USA, the UK, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Poland, Netherlands, France, Brazil, Morocco, Denmark, Chile, Portugal, Sierra Leone, Rwanda, Syria, India, Serbia, Greece, Albania, Türkiye, Slovakia, Singapore, Italy, Spain, Iran, Cameroon, China, Australia, and New Zealand have shared their travel impressions in Karabakh.
