Hungarian journalist: IDPs will return to prosperous Karabakh

“I am extremely glad that I am now in the city of Lachin, where construction and restoration work is going on at an intensive pace,” Hungarian journalist Attila Csarnai told reporters during his trip to Lachin, Report informs.

"This is my first visit to Lachin. I am impressed by the pace of restoration work carried out in the city. I really hope that the internally displaced persons will be able to return to their homes soon. I was also lucky to visit the pearl of the Caucasus, the city of Shusha. As a person who was in Karabakh years ago, I can say that many positive changes have taken place here," the journalist said.

He noted that in 1992, two weeks before the Khojaly genocide, he could visit the site of those tragic events.

“Unfortunately, I witnessed the brutal treatment of Azerbaijani civilians by Armenians. I saw many refugees, many dead. It was terrible to see all this. Now I am extremely happy that all this is over, and people who were forced to leave Karabakh many years ago will return to a prosperous region," Attila Csarnai added.
