Georgian travelers witness rebirth of Aghdam

A delegation of Georgian travelers recently visited the city of Aghdam, Azerbaijan, to witness firsthand the aftermath of the Armenian occupation and the ongoing efforts to rebuild and restore the region. The guests were given a tour of the city, where they saw the extensive damage inflicted by Armenia during the years of occupation and the impressive reconstruction work currently underway.

Report informs that during their visit, the travelers made a stop at the recently restored Aghdam Mosque,. They also paid their respects at the Alley of Martyrs, a memorial dedicated to those who lost their lives defending their homeland.

The guests were shown historical photographs of Aghdam before the occupation and the subsequent destruction.

The visit to Aghdam is part of a larger initiative that brought three groups of Georgian travelers, totaling 30 individuals, to Azerbaijan. During their stay, the travelers will have the opportunity to explore the region's historical monuments and witness the ongoing construction and restoration efforts in the liberated territories.

The Georgian delegation's visit to the liberated territories is set to conclude on October 22.
