The main priorities for the restoration of the liberated Azerbaijani lands include management and security, the implementation of infrastructure projects, economic activity and other steps in the economic sphere, Vusal Garayev, deputy head of the Azerbaijani Economy Ministry's Department for Recovery and Development of Territories, said during the event of the business mission of Russian companies in the development of urban infrastructure - Smart City in Baku, Report informs.
Garayev also noted the importance of demining the liberated territories, stressing that Azerbaijan is actively working in this direction.
He said that the inventory of social facilities, road and other infrastructure is the second important task after demining.
The restoration of the liberated territories is one of Azerbaijan’s main priorities until 2030, he noted.
Garayev added that another priority is the restoration of roads and railways, which will allow integrating the liberated territories into the general economy of the country: “Transport corridors such as North-South, the Belt and Road Initiative will restore the tourism potential of the lands and reintegrate them into the region.”
The importance of building a hydropower plant and creating an energy infrastructure for the liberated territories was also noted.
