French press reps observe passage of Armenian residents of Karabakh through Lachin border checkpoint

Representatives of the French press have observed the process of voluntary and free passage of Karabakh residents of Armenian origin through the Lachin border checkpoint to Armenia, Report informs.

An RFI radio employee was near the checkpoint.

The radio report notes that at the checkpoint, the documents of persons are checked and their identities are established.

In a statement to Agence France-Presse, persons of Armenian nationality noted that representatives of the separatist regime called on them to leave Karabakh.

The article notes that on September 25, more than 100 people were killed and 290 were injured in an explosion at a filling station near Khankandi city.

Azerbaijan reportedly provided the International Committee of the Red Cross with unimpeded passage to provide assistance to the injured.

“Azerbaijan intends to apply an amnesty to the Armenian military personnel who laid down their arms in Karabakh. However, war criminals must be handed over to the Azerbaijani side,” a source in the Azerbaijani government told the Agence France-Presse.
