Foreign diplomats informed about Armenian provocations at Lachin border checkpoint

Representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Azerbaijan arrived in Lachin.

Report informs that the delegation consists of 60 diplomats and military attachés from 33 countries.

During the visit, foreign diplomats visited the bridge where the border checkpoint between Armenia and Azerbaijan is located.

They were informed about recent provocations by Armenia, as a result of which one serviceman was injured.

It was also noted that the border checkpoint was opened before the armed provocation. The residents of Armenian origin living in Khankandi used it without any obstacles.

Foreign diplomats were informed about the conditions created for medical evacuation through the mediation of the International Organization of the Red Cross.

It was also noted that the Armenian side is trying to use the current situation at the BCP as a propaganda tool for their own PR campaigns.

A serviceman of the State Border Service of Azerbaijan, who served at the Lachin border checkpoint, was wounded on June 15, as a result of the shelling of the Lachin BCP from the territory of Armenia.
