Expert: Int’l community should put pressure on Armenia

The international community should put pressure on Armenia in connection with the mine contamination of the Azerbaijan territories, Khalid Taimur Akram, executive director of the Pakistan Research Center for a Community with Shared Future, told Report.

Azerbaijan is taking active steps to turn the liberated lands into digital centers and cities. However, this process is affected by the lack of accurate maps of minefields. Unfortunately, many people have died and continue to die due to landmines laid by Armenians, the Pakistani expert said.

He stressed that due to hostility and unwillingness to establish peace with Azerbaijan, Armenia has not yet provided correct maps of minefields.

Pakistan will continue to support Azerbaijan in disseminating the truth and facts at the national and international levels, he concluded.
