The Center for Analysis of International Relations hosted a regular meeting of the working group on environmental issues of the interdepartmental center functioning under the Coordination Headquarters, created to centrally resolve issues in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan.
Report informs that the meeting was attended by representatives of the relevant state structures represented in the working group, and members of the expert group of the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), who are on a visit to Azerbaijan.
The purpose of the visit of the expert group to our country is to carry out an assessment mission to support the process of ecological restoration of the territories liberated from occupation.
The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources organized a visit of an expert group, which took part in a mission for a preliminary assessment and determination of the amount of environmental damage in the liberated territories, to the Karabakh and Eastern Zangazur economic regions; members of the group visited the cities of Aghdam, Jabrayil, Zangilan, Shusha, the villages of Agali, Vanadli, Sarygyshlag, Shafibayli of Zangilan District, the villages of Ishigli, Dovlyatyarly, Gajar of Fuzuli District, as well as Hadrut and Sugovushan townlet.
During the visit of the assessment mission, the environmental crimes committed by Armenia were clearly demonstrated.
