Envoy: Zangilan to be center of Azerbaijan, Israel, Italy co-op

Israeli Ambassador to Baku George Deek spoke about the projects that will be implemented in Azerbaijan’s Zangilan district, liberated from the Armenian occupation, within the framework of the Smart City project.

Report informs that the diplomat shared on Twitter a video message from the Zangilan district.

According to the ambassador, a dairy farm with Israeli technology will be established in Zangilan.

“Today, we are here in Zangilan. Right here behind me, there is so far nothing. But as we say in Israel, where there is nothing, everything is possible. Right here, this place is going to be the site for international cooperation between Azerbaijanis, Israelis, and Italians,” the envoy said.

George Deek noted that Azerbaijan is going to build a smart city, the first in the region where an Israeli company will build a farm to produce dairy products, mainly milk, with Israeli technology. Then, the milk will be given to an Italian factory right next to the farm, and that Italian factory will make dairies like cheese.

He stressed that this cooperation would revive this part of Zangilan and bring back the communities to their homes.

“So we are very proud of this cooperation. Today, we were here meeting the project manager, the Israeli company representatives, as well as the Italian representative, and we are really excited about the prospects here. So, right now, there is nothing, next year, it is going to be the center of the Azerbaijan, Israel, and Italy cooperation,” the ambassador added.
