The guests were informed about the work done to restore the ecology and biodiversity of the region, which was severely damaged during the occupation.
Firuddin Aliyev, head of the Department for Biodiversity Conservation of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources (MENR), said that the golden trout was included in the Red Book:
"Today's action will increase their number across the country."
He said that about 3,000 trout will be released into the Hakari River today: "This event has already become a tradition."
According to him, this is the most adapted trout species to local conditions.
Diplomats and members of international organizations will visit the Aghali "smart village" in Zangilan and participate in an international conference on "Partnership and Support for Sustainable Water Management".
