Deputy Minister: 54,328 hectares of forests destroyed during Armenian occupation

Azerbaijan has not experienced such a great victory for many centuries, Report informs, quoting Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Firdovsi Aliyev.

"We have always longed for those lands. I have been in those holy lands three times," Aliyev said at a briefing on the ecological situation in the liberated territories.

According to him, every Azerbaijani is concerned about the nature and ecology of the liberated area: "These territories are very valuable. By order of Mr. President, commandant's offices and headquarters were established in those lands. Our environment has sustained a great damage through 30 years of occupation. Armenian invaders destroyed 54,328 hectares of forests. We recorded these initial observations based on satellite images."
