"We waited 30 years. Finally, our dream came true," Deputy Chairman of the State Committee on Religious Associations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Gunduz Ismayilov, from Zabukh village of Lachin, told Report.

"We lost some people in the past 30 years. But thankfully, we have enough people to return to Lachin. We expect to return to Lachin, Zabukh soon. Long live our state and army! May God have mercy on our martyrs and give health to our veterans. We rejoice in our victories thanks to them and our successful diplomacy."

Ismayilov also drew attention to the intergenerational coincidence:

"I was ten years old when I left Lachin - my native village. It has been 30 years. I am, now, 40 years old, and my son is ten. It's exciting. My son will return to Lachin with me at the age of 10. So generations go on. It's a pleasant, unforgettable day."

Today President Ilham Aliyev posted on his Twitter page that the Azerbaijani Army is stationed in Lachin. On August 26, the Commander-in-Chief announced that the Azerbaijanis had returned to the city of Lachin and that the city of Lachin, the villages of Zabukh and Sus had been taken under control. In this regard, he congratulated all the inhabitants of Lachin and the people of Azerbaijan.
