Cossack community: No one has right to plunder natural resources of Azerbaijan

"Our mission is to support eco-activists' protest so that the natural resources of Azerbaijan are not stolen," Ivan Romanenko, a representative of the Azerbaijani Cossack community, told Report.

Representatives of the local Russian community arrived today at the protest site on the Khankandi-Lachin road against the illegal exploitation of mineral deposits in the Karabakh economic region of Azerbaijan.

The delegation includes about 30 people.

The representative of the Cossack community recalled that on the territory of a sovereign state, any work should be carried out only with the permission of the country's leadership.

"No one has the right to steal the wealth of Azerbaijan, but if there is theft, then those who do it should face appropriate punishment," Romanenko added.

The protest of civil activists on the Khankandi-Lachin road against the illegal exploitation of mineral deposits in Karabakh has been going on for the 52nd day.
