Colombian journalist witnesses Armenian vandalism in Karabakh

El Expediente and LaOtraCara portals, two of Colombia's leading political news agencies, published an article entitled "Azerbaijan's rebirth" based on the impressions of well-known journalist Roberto Trobajo's visit to our liberated territories.

Report informs, citing the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Mexico, that the journalist visiting the liberated Azerbaijani cities Jabrail, Fuzuli, Ganja, Aghdam, and Shusha, which had been under occupation for about 30 years, noted that civilian residential infrastructure, religious temples, architectural samples, and centuries-old cultural pearls were destroyed and plundered by Armenia.

In this regard, the author, in particular, spoke about the Armenian vandalism he witnessed in the city of Agdam, which he called" the Hiroshima of the Caucasus." Trobajo said Armenians destroyed the city to the maximum so that no one can live there again. The enemy razed to the ground the Aghdam Dram Theater, The Bread Museum, the centuries-old palaces, fed animals in mosques, and made the stadium of Aghdam's Qarabag football club unusable.

The author noted that mass graves were looted in the city of Jabrayil. The Armenian armed forces used this process as a source of income and completely drained the surrounding springs, and plundered various figures adorning these springs.

Speaking about the moral value and special place of Shusha for Azerbaijanəs culture, the Colombian journalist said that the inaccessible Shusha fortress was liberated owing to the extraordinary courage and determination of the Azerbaijani armed forces. Expressing admiration for the grandeur of the ancient Shusha fortress and the beauty of the Jidir Plain (Jidir Duzu), the author said that Azerbaijan's historical and cultural heritage is also a victim of Armenian vandalism.

The famous journalist said Armenia conducted intensive mining operations to prevent the reconstruction of cities and settlements and the return of the Azerbaijani population to their homes. However, Azerbaijan carries out restoration and reconstruction works, and these cities will soon become beautiful and well-groomed.

In conclusion, the author noted that he witnessed the destruction of ancient and beautiful lands due to the vandalism of the occupying power, but learned from the Azerbaijani people that it is possible to be born again stronger thanks to deep spirituality and perseverance.
