Bulgarian specialists ready to share experience for restoration of Azerbaiijan's Shusha

Governor of the Veliko Tarnovo Oblast of Bulgaria Georgi Guguchkov held a meeting with the Azerbaijani delegation headed by the special representative of the President of Azerbaijan in the Shusha district Aydin Karimov, Report informs via Bulgarian media.

During the meeting, Governor Georgi Guguchkov briefly presented the geographical, economic and territorial structure of the Veliko Tarnovo Oblast. He emphasized the contribution of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation to the restoration and conservation of the cultural and historical heritage - the Trapezitsa fortress, located near the city of Veliko Tarnovo.

“We believe that the long-standing friendship between our countries opens up many opportunities for developing cooperation in the fields of agriculture, chemical fertilizers, construction, defense industry, information technology, as well as the diversification of the energy sector,” Georgi Guguchkov stressed.

Presidential Special Representative Aydin Karimov, in turn, spoke about the restoration of the liberated city of Shusha, adding that the experience of specialists from Veliko Tarnovo would be useful in implementing infrastructure projects, restoring the housing stock, and especially in preserving and protecting the cultural and historical heritage of the city.
