Belarus plans to build a settlement for 420 families in Azerbaijan’s Karabakh, Minister of Architecture and Construction of Belarus Ruslan Parkhamovich told journalists in Shusha, Report informs referring to BelTA.
He emphasized that Belarus and Azerbaijan have been cooperating in the construction sector for several years: “But until now, the main emphasis has been on the development of urban planning and design documentation, the exchange of regulatory frameworks and technologies.
Now we have agreed on a new serious step. We have planned a specific settlement, something like an agricultural town. We will work together with our colleagues from the Ministry of Agriculture, because here it is very important to provide people not only with comfortable housing, but also to provide them with decent workplaces,” Parkhamovich said.
He noted that the facility will be built in the Agdam district, the settlement will be designed for 420 families, and its architecture will have a Belarusian flavor.
“We plan to engage in the construction of both housing and infrastructure: transport, engineering and social facilities. These will be trial objects. Over the next few months, we will already develop and present to our colleagues a concept that they will approve, and we will actively work further. If everything goes well, in the near future we will expand our work to several more facilities,” the minister added.
