Telephone conversations with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan gave certain results, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said at a press conference following a meeting with Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili, Report informs.
The foreign minister noted that on April 27 he discussed the post-conflict situation and the issue of returning internally displaced persons to the liberated Azerbaijani territories during a meeting with the Georgian foreign minister, and also informed his Georgian colleague about the work to sign a peace treaty with Armenia and about his telephone conversation with the foreign minister of this country, Ararat Mirzoyan.
“I have already had two telephone conversations with the Armenian foreign minister. There are already conditions for the Commission on Delimitation and Demarcation of Borders to start working,” Bayramov noted.
The minister also noted that Azerbaijan and Armenia agreed on the composition of the members of the Joint Border Commission, reached an agreement on holding a meeting of the Joint Border Commission in the near future, as well as a working group to develop a peace agreement.
Bayramov emphasized the importance of opening communications in the region.
