Azerbaijani president talks on mass grave in Edilli village

President Ilham Aliyev spoke about the recently discovered mass grave in the Edilli village of the Khojavend district, Report informs.

The president made the remark on April 4 during a meeting with Director-General of the International Commission on Missing Persons Kathryne Bomberger.

The head of state noted that since the First Armenian-Azerbaijani war, 3,890 Azerbaijanis are considered missing, many of them were tortured, killed and buried in mass graves. President Ilham Aliyev noted that although Azerbaijan has repeatedly appealed to Armenia on this issue, Armenia has not shown constructive cooperation and goodwill.

The head of state noted that recently a mass grave was discovered in the village of Edilli in the Khojavend district, and the remains were transferred to a laboratory for DNA analysis.
