Azerbaijani injured in Armenian mine explosion: I lost my brother

“I ask everyone not to try to get to the liberated territories without permission, please beware of the danger of mines that exists in these territories,” Asif Mammadov, a resident of Azerbaijan’s Alkhanli village, who was seriously injured from the explosion of a mine planted by the Armenian military, said at a conference at the ADA University dedicated to the International Day for Mine Awareness and Assistance in Mine Action, Report informs.

“Enemy intelligence crossed into our territory and mined our land. On November 14, I lost my brother and was injured,” he said.

At the stage of the forced retreat after the counter-offensive operations of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, Armenia deliberately planted mines in these territories to cause as much damage as possible to the Azerbaijani side and create additional obstacles for the return of the civilian population to their homes.
