Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry comments on Sochi meeting  

The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry has positively assessed the results of the trilateral meeting held between President of Russia Vladimir Putin, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan on November 26 in Sochi city, Report informs referring to the press service of the ministry.

It was noted that the statement signed by the Azerbaijani president, the Armenian prime minister and the Russian president following the meeting fully reflects Azerbaijan’s position.

“In the statement, one should emphasize the early implementation of projects aimed at unlocking the economic potential of the region, including the opening of railways and highways.

In the post-conflict period, Azerbaijan called for the full implementation of trilateral statements, the opening of all communications in the region, the beginning of the delimitation process between the two countries and the normalization of relations on the basis of international law. The Azerbaijani side will continue to take appropriate steps to implement the relevant points, reflected in the statement of November 26,” the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said.
