Azerbaijani FM: Khojaly massacre reflected in resolutions of many countries

The fact of the Khojaly massacre is already reflected in the decisions and resolutions of many countries and international organizations, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said at a conference dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Khojaly genocide, Report informs.

He noted that 17 countries, as well as 23 US states, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and other international organizations, have adopted the necessary statements in connection with the Khojaly massacre.

"The only reason behind the murder of the inhabitants of Khojaly was their ethnicity. It was an obvious result of the policy pursued by Armenia," Bayramov added.

The foreign minister noted that the Azerbaijani authorities conducted an investigation and it was fully proved that it was an act of massacre.

He added that the perpetrators of this massacre, this tragedy, have not yet been punished.

The minister called on all countries and states, international organizations to express their attitude towards the Khojaly tragedy. He said that this tragedy should receive a political and legal assessment on an international plane.

“Even 30 years later, Armenia is not ready to cooperate. Even now we don’t see cooperation from the Armenian side,” Bayramov added.
