Azerbaijani FM: Armenia violates peace process

"Azerbaijan strictly adheres to and fulfills obligations within the agreements reached. The country has taken numerous unilateral steps, particularly, allowed humanitarian aid to pass through Azerbaijan. The search for the bodies and remains was organized with the participation of the Azerbaijani military, and about 1,600 bodies were handed over to the Armenian side, Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said at the press conference.

“We highly appreciate Russia’s role, as well as joint activities of the Russian-Turkish monitoring center,” he said.

At the same time, the Minister stressed that the Armenian side continues to violate the peace process: “Their position does not serve normalization of the situation in the region. The fact that the Armenian servicemen invaded the territory of Azerbaijan and killed servicemen and civilians at the end of 2020 is a gross violation of the agreements. Armenia continues war crimes in Azerbaijan.”

According to him, the Armenian side has not handed over maps of the mined areas yet and refuses to provide information about the 4,000 Azerbaijanis who went missing during the First Karabakh War.
