Ashagi Seyidahmadli village of Azerbaijan’s Fuzuli included in category of more mine-contaminated area

The village of Ashagi Seyidahmadli of the Fuzuli district is included in the category of more mine-contaminated area, said Idris Ismayilov, the chief of the Operations Administration of the Azerbaijan Mine Action Agency (ANAMA), at the first international "Forensic Archeology and Forensic Anthropology: Humanitarian Applications" conference, Report informs.

According to him, demining activities were carried out by the Agency in that area for more than a month: “121 mines were detected and neutralized from an area of approximately 1.4 hectares. 85 of them are anti-tank mines, and 36 are anti-personnel mines. In order to ensure the safety of the excavation works to be carried out by the Agency, the demining works of the relevant areas will continue.”
