Armenian serviceman commits suicide in Karabakh - UPDATED

Armenian serviceman Sarkis Grigoryan, who died in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan controlled by Russian peacekeepers, has committed suicide.

The statement came from the Investigative Committee of Armenia, Sputnik Armenia reports.

The incident took place on July 26 at 22:00 local time. Grigoryan received a bullet wound on the left side of his chest. As a result, he died.

A criminal case has been opened in connection with the suicide of a 19-year-old serviceman.

A 19-year-old serviceman of the Armenian army died in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan under the control of Russian peacekeepers, Report informs, citing Sputnik Armenia.

Defense Army serviceman Sargis Grigoryan (born in 2002) received a fatal gunshot wound in yet unknown circumstances on July 26 at about 10.26 p.m. in the protection area of one of the military units located in the northern direction.

The investigation is underway to reveal the details of the incident.
