US to replace Bradley transferred to Ukraine with new version of such equipment

In the United States, there are plans to replace every Bradley Infantry Fighting Vehicle transferred to Ukraine with a new version of such equipment. It will be equipped with active protection systems, according to the Program Executive Office Ground Combat Systems on Facebook, Report informs via RBC-Ukraine.

As noted by the executive management, the US Army has received funding to procure the new version of the Bradley - M2A4E1 - for each Infantry Fighting Vehicle gifted to Ukraine.

The M2A4E1 version of the Bradley was unveiled last week in the state of Maine.

"The M2A4E1 is the most modern and survivable version of the Bradley as a result of integrating an Iron Fist Active Protection System," the statement said.

Additionally, this version of the IFV features an enhanced gunner's sight and climate control for the infantry.
