Armenian provocation thwarted in Azerbaijan's Karabakh region

An Armenian provocation has been intercepted in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan, Report informs via Caliber.

For a particular, rather long time, the Azerbaijani side received signals about the transport of weapons, ammunition and manpower from the territory of Armenia to the Karabakh region, using the dirt road called 'Khalafali yolu,' alternative to the main Lachin road.

"Today, having received another similar signal, our (Azerbaijani) operatives moved out onto the road to conduct a check on the ground. When our investigators tried to stop an Armenian car passing along the road, its passengers opened fire. As a result of the return fire, the enemy was neutralized," Caliber noted.

Today's armed incident confirms that the military-political leadership of the Republic of Armenia continues to commit sabotage and provocations against Azerbaijan, supplying weapons, ammunition and manpower into Azerbaijan's territory.
