Armenia launches investigation into attack on Azerbaijani border guard

The Border Troops of the Armenian National Security Service (NSS) are holding criminal intelligence operations to identify Armenian service members who attacked an Azerbaijani border guard, Report informs, citing Armenian media.

The State Border Service of Azerbaijan informed the Armenian side that one of their detachments had been attacked.

"The NSS Border Troops are taking measures regarding this information provided by the Azerbaijani side," the press service of the Armenian National Security Service said.

On August 25, two Armenian soldiers stabbed Ruslan Shiraliyev, a soldier of the Border Troops of the State Border Service of Azerbaijan. The incident occurred at the border combat station of the separate border division Gubadli, located at the section of the Gorus-Gafan road near the Ashaghi Jibikli village. The Armenian soldiers fleed the scene after they saw other border guards rushing to the rescue. The injured Azerbaijani soldier's condition is not life-threatening now.
