Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) plans to apply more innovations in the process of clearing territories from mines, Deputy Chairman of ANAMA's Board Samir Poladov said today at a briefing for representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Azerbaijan.
More than 1,700 professionals work daily in mine-contaminated areas, Poladov said.
57 special vehicles were also involved in mine clearance.
"We are also focusing on mine clearance using artificial intelligence drones. We will continue to work in this direction to introduce more and more innovations in the mine clearance process," Poladov said.
