Amirbayov: Azerbaijan’s anti-terrorism measures were aimed exclusively at legitimate military targets

Local anti-terrorism measures carried out by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces in the Karabakh region were aimed exclusively at the legitimate military targets of the Armenian armed formations, Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan for Special Assignments, Ambassador Elchin Amirbayov said in an interview with BBC News, Report informs.

He noted that during these events every effort was made to avoid casualties among the civilian population of Karabakh.

They were implemented with lightning speed, lasting less than a day, he said. The events were aimed at the legitimate military targets of the Armenian armed formations on the territory of Azerbaijan, Amirbayov added.
