Ambassador speaks about French Senate's resolution on Karabakh

French Ambassador to Azerbaijan Zacharie Gross commented on the French Senate's adoption of the draft resolution "on the need to recognize the "Nagorno-Karabakh Republic."

According to Report, the diplomat called again to pay attention to the French government Minister Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne's speech.

Speaking in the French Senate in the evening, the French government minister said: "The policy of the French government is not to unilaterally recognize the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic." This step will be neither useful nor practical. "The settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict will be achieved not through a unilateral gesture of France, but the dialogue between the parties," the ambassador wrote on Twitter.

Earlier, the French Senate submitted a draft resolution No. 145 "On the need to recognize the "Nagorno-Karabakh Republic," which was discussed and adopted on November 25. 305 out of 306 senators voted in favor.
