Abdullayeva: Co-chairs should call on Armenia to refrain from provocations

"In connection with the six detained Armenian soldiers, referred to in the statement by the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs, we want to remind that these Armenian soldiers were detained while committing a provocation aimed at mining roads," head of the press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Leyla Abdullayeva said, as quoted by Report.

"At a time when mines planted by Armenia in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan pose a threat to people's lives every day, Armenia's refusal to provide information on the location of mines and its attempt to bury new mines in this territory do not fit into any framework. Therefore, before proposing to exchange the detained persons on the 'all-for-all' principle, the co-chairs should at least pay attention to the reasons for the detention of these persons and urge provocateurs to refrain from such actions," the Foreign Ministry's spokeswoman added.
