State Commission: 95 out of 196 missing persons in Khojaly are prisoners and hostages

Azerbaijan's State Commission for Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons has registered 196 people who went missing as a result of the Khojaly genocide, commission representative Jamilagha Aghayev, said. He spoke during an event in Tbilisi commemorating the 28th anniversary of the Khojaly genocide, Report's local bureau informs.

Aghayev said among those were 36 children, 65 women, and 34 aged people.

"According to eyewitnesses, 95 out of 196 missing people were prisoners and hostages, captured by Armenians. The State Commission keeps both written and video testimonies of 413 witnesses who were captured by Armenians during the occupation of Khojaly, and later released," Aghayev mentioned.
