Emin Huseynov: 2022 - a year of large-scale construction

"Restoration work is being carried out in parallel in all liberated territories. The main goal is to confirm detailed plans after approval of the general plan," the Special Representative of the President of Azerbaijan in the liberated territories of the Karabakh economic region (except Shusha) Emin Huseynov told Report.

According to him, the development of detailed plans for Fuzuli and Aghdam is nearing completion: "First, it is planned to start the restoration of city centers and surrounding villages."

"A special mobilization zone in Aghdam Industrial Park is ready. The foundations of the plants of the first companies, which obtained resident status, are being laid," Huseynov said.

He added that work has already begun on the construction of a residential area in Aghdam:

"The first block will consist of six-storey buildings. A forest strip is created and school number one is being constructed. All these are the territories laid during the visit of President Ilham Aliyev on May 28. One of those places is the Juma Mosque, the restoration of which is about to begin and will be carried out by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. We are slowly starting to implement other projects. I think that 2022 will be a year of large-scale construction."

There will be many modern buildings in Aghdam. The city will be built according to the smart city concentration. 20% of the city will be covered with greenery. The city will have four forests, 23 urban parks, and roads.

Based on the " Smart Village " concept, a large settlement is being created in Dovletyarli village in Fuzuli. The project uniting five towns is expected to be handed over to its former owners by the end of next year. In the first stage, it is planned to build 450 houses, after that an additional 300 houses, which will be the first residential center in Fuzuli.
