ADY Express continues to attract new types of cargo

ADY Express LLC, a subsidiary of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC, one of the main activities of which is to attract new types of cargo to the transit routes through Azerbaijan, using the vast opportunities created in the railways of our country, attracted another new type of cargo and managed to transport it from Azerbaijan in transit mode, Report informs, citing the LLC.

This time, ADY Express, along with its partners in Kazakhstan and Georgia, started to transport aluminum cargo belonging to the Kazakhstan Electrolysis Plant from the city of Pavlodar in Kazakhstan to the Georgian port of Poti.

The aluminum, loaded on covered goods wagon at the Pavlodar-Yuzhny station in Kazakhstan, operated by ADY Express, was sent to the port of Kuryk. After the wagons were delivered by ferry from the port of Kuryk to the port of Alat, they were sent to the Georgian port of Poti. The freight wagons covered a total distance of 4186 km and were delivered to the address. The transit time of freight cars (time on the road) is 10-14 days, depending on the weather.

It should be noted that 21,468 tons of aluminum cargo has been delivered from Kazakhstan to the port of Poti in 326 wagons. In the near future, it is planned to transport 13,585 tons of this cargo by another 209 wagons. The project is planned for a long time.

Thus, the extensive transport infrastructure created in Azerbaijan and the logistics opportunities as a result of this, allow large cargo owners to transport their products through the territory of Azerbaijan. The transport and logistics opportunities and potential of our country, the convenience of transportation from our country, lead to an increase in the volume of cargo.
