Wildfire in Azerbaijan's Shaki district extinguished

The wildfire that broke out in the mountainous area near the village of Kish in Azerbaijan’s Shaki district has been extinguished, Report informs, citing the country’s Ministry of Emergency Situations.

As a result of the fire, according to preliminary information, bushes and dry grass burned down on 50 hectares. Despite the complexity of the terrain and the high temperature, the forests were protected from fire.

The relevant units of the State Fire Service, the Civil Defense Troops, the North-Western Regional Center and two helicopters of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, workforces of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources and local executive authorities, as well as residents of the village, took part in extinguishing the fire.
