Vagif Khachatryan sentenced to 15 years in prison

The court hearing of the criminal case against Vagif Cherkezovich Khachatryan, one of the members of the illegal Armenian armed formations that committed a massacre in the village of Meshali of Azerbaijan’s Khojaly district, has ended.

Report informs that the verdict was read at the headquarters of the Yasamal District Court in the process chaired by Baku Military Court Judge Zeynal Aghayev.

According to the verdict, he was sentenced to 15 years in prison. Khachatryan must spend the first five years of his sentence in prison and the rest in a strict-regime prison colony.

Another court hearing of the criminal case against Vagif Cherkezovich Khachatryan, one of the members of the illegal Armenian armed formations that committed a massacre in the village of Meshali of Azerbaijan’s Khojaly district on December 22, 1991, is underway, Report informs.

The hearing is being held at the headquarters of the Yasamal District Court and chaired by Judge of the Baku Military Court Zeynal Aghayev.
