Baku. 17 December. REPORT.AZ/ The State Border Service (SBS) continues the measures to ensure the border security and fight against illicit drug trafficking.
Report informs citing the press service of SBS that 320 grams of heroin was seized by border guards from Iranian citizen Bargikani Naza Muhammedbakhir (born in 2002) who tried to enter Azerbaijan from Iran.
Baku residents Safarov Kazim Agali born in 1992 and Nasirov Elyaz Taleh in 1994 were detained as a result of the urgent search and investigation of the drug trafficker.
It was stated that the resident of Barda region Jafarov Talat Allahyar, born in 1976, and the resident of Aghjabadi region, Guliyev Namiq Allahverdi, born in 1977, violated the state border of Iran in the territory of the border post of the Ahadli village of Beylagan region of the Horadiz border and 2,270 grams of marijuana were seized from them.
As a result of the search operations carried out jointly by the State Border Service and the State Security Service, 1,145 grams of heroin were found while examining the Mercedes car in Yardimli region.
Azerbaijani citizens, resident of Shamkir Alizade Vusal Yashar, born in 1991, resident of Mingachevir Soltanov Elchin Mukhtar, born in 1984, and resident of Sumgayit Huseynov Huseyn Novruz, born in 1977, were detained.
The criminal case was launched into the fact, the necessary investigative actions were implemented.
