Baku. 1 February. REPORT.AZ/ Today the Baku Grave Crimes Court continued the criminal proceeding on the case of Salih Maharram Rustamov, Vidadi Valeh Rustamli, Agil Ali Maharramov, Babak Gazanfar Hasanov and Ruslan Shamil Nasirov.
Report informs that Islam Rahimov, Natig Kamalov and Vusal Bayramov gave testimony at the meeting presided by judge Eldar Ismayilov.
The chairman of the National Council, Jamil Hasanli, former deputy Arzu Samadbayli, as well as media representatives attended the court trial.
Natiq Kamalov said in his testimony that he regularly visits Russia for commercial purposes, solves the issue of sending money from Moscow to Azerbaijan. When he was in Moscow in late 2016, Saleh Rustamov said that he wanted to send $ 4,000 to Baku, and his nephew Vidadi Rustamli would take the money. After taking the money, he sent Vidadi Rustamli's contact to his relative Tural Mehdikhanov. Vidadi met with Tural in Baku and took $ 4,000 from him. Then, Salih Rustamov repeatedly sent $ 3,000 and $ 4,000 from Moscow to Baku. In the middle of 2017, Saleh Rustamov sent him $ 175,000 at a time and Vidadi Rustamli received this money from Tural in Baku.
Islam Rahimov stated in his testimony that on May 10, 2018, on the basis of the proposal of the Office for Combating Organized Crime, he agreed to participate as a witness in the operation held by them. At that time, at the invitation of police officers, they arrived at the “Alibaba” tea house located in Narimanov district. A few minutes later, white "Kia" car stopped in front of the tea house. Police officers approached Vidadi Rustamli, who was behind the wheel, presented their service certificates and said that he was detained as he was suspected of drug dealing. Vidadi Rustamli handed a fold of heroine in his pocket and two cellophane bends to the police.
Vusal Bayramov said in his testimony that he got acquainted with Agil Maharramov, a member of Azerbaijani Popular Front Party through his friend Yusuf. Agil called him one day and asked that as he had some work on this day, he would met with another man in Ganjlik station and give the money to him. So, after work he met with a young man at the Ataturk Park, received $ 500 and gave it to Agil.
The accused Agil Magerramov admitted that he illegally funded the activities of his political organization by legalizing money received from illegal entrepreneurship and crime.
The next hearing was scheduled for February 5.
