Remains of five more people found from mass grave in Khojaly

Remains of five more people have been unearthed from the mass grave in Khojaly, Report informs.

The news agency cited the press service of the General Prosecutor’s Office, which said that the mass grave was found in the center of the liberated Khojaly city (near the former carpet factory) during the major restoration and construction works.

The Criminalistics and Information Technologies Department of the General Prosecutor’s Office is investigating the case.

The General Prosecutor’s Office said that the number of human remains in the mass grave has reached at least 10 people (2 of them are believed to be minors), who were subjected to inhumane treatment and physical violence.

The bone fragments were collected for expertise and laboratory tests, and other necessary procedural actions were taken. The General Prosecutor’s Office is working with relevant institutions to identify the human remains in the area. The public will be informed about the outcome, the statement added.
