Baku police continue enhanced control and preventive measures in the streets and avenues of the capital, and indoor spaces as part of the steps to curb the spread of the COVID-19 infection.
The police prosecute those who do not maintain social distance, use masks, and act without relevant permission under the law, Baku Main Police Office told Report.
Baku police urge citizens to strictly follow the applicable rules and sanitary and hygienic regulations to protect themselves, their relatives, and others and encourage people to do the same.
So far, Azerbaijan has 18,112 confirmed cases and 220 related deaths. The country’s recoveries stand at 10,061, the treatment of 7,831 people is underway.
The government imposed strict quarantine regime in Baku, Sumgayit, Absheron, Ganja, Yevlakh, Jalilabad, Lankaran and Masalli cities and Absheron region from June 21 to July 5. People are allowed to leave their places of residence only upon permission by sending a text message.
